headshotMichele McFarland has a Master’s degree in Writing: Fiction and Non-fiction from Johns Hopkins University. She is a former high school English teacher who often writes about women and agency and adores historical settings. She is a former correspondent for The Philadelphia Inquirer. Her journalism and creative non-fiction have appeared in Baltimore Magazine, Maryland Life, The Martha’s Vineyard Times, and the anthology Whereabouts: Stepping Out of Place. She has received the Hopkins Outstanding Graduate Award and several Ingersoll Rand Awards. She is also on the board of Writers in Baltimore Schools, an after-school writing program for Baltimore City middle and high school students.
